Router's Manila correspondent staLes that is it reported that a thousand lives have been lost at Hong Kong. The British destroyer Taku (600 horse-power) and two British riverboats have been damaged. At Hong Kong twelve ships were sunk, twenty-four were driven ashore and seven damaged including the Polynesian, Strathmore and Radnorshire. The Admiralty states that it is the Algerine, not the Phoenix, whioh is damaged. A BISHOP MISSING. Received September 2'), 9.18 p.m. HONG KONG, September 20. The Bight Rev. Joseph Obarles Hoare, Bishop of Victoria (Hongkong), who was crossing from the neighbouring islands, at the outset of the storm, is missing. Yesterday bis launch was found stranded on the beach.
