THE FACTORY ROAD.

A PETITION. A petition was received at the meeting of the Maaterton County Council, yesterday afternoon, signed by eleven ratepayers of Kopuaranga, asking the Council to deviate the road, known as Factory Road, at a point directly opposite the Kopuaranga Railway Station, at whioh point an angle occurs in the existing road. ■The Council deoided to aooedd to the request of the petitioners. Any further arrangements in conneotion with the matter were left «n tbo hands of the Councillors for the Riding and the County Clerk.
