STAR CRICKET CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The fourth annual meeting of the Star Cricket Club was held in the Club Hotel last evening. There were present—Messrs W. H. L. Galwey (chairman), Dwyer, Chnpman, Steward, Thy nne, Bradbury, JEason, tfd wards, I'urvey, Darroch, Egan, Logan, Perry, Kichards, and McLean. The balance-sheet was read and adopted. The following new members were elected: —Messrs Vemon, ThynDe, Sigglekow, Hughes, Anderson, Rout, Simmonds, and Major. The following offioers were elected for the enduing year;— Patron, Mr W. U. Jackson; President, Mr C. A. Pownall; V T ioo-Pi'oßidentf>, Messrs W. O. L. Galwey, A. C. Major, F. C. Cooper, A. C. Sorimgeour, and J. L. Murray; Secretary and Troasurei, Mr V. G. Darroch; Assistant Secretary, Mr A. P. Smith; Com mittee, Messrs A. Chapman, Edwarde, L. Richards, Steward, Esson ; Selection Committee, Mr II J. Egan; Delegate to the Association, Messrs Edwards, Steward and Darroch. The appointment of a captain and vice-captain was left over. A vote of thauka was nccordod to the press. Reference was made to the capable manner iu whioh Mr V. G. Darroch, had carried out the duties of secretary, aud he was voted a bonus of two guineas.
