WAIRARAPA THURSDAY REPS, v. HOROWHENUA. Tbe members of tbe Horowbenna representative team, whioh is to play the Wairarapa Thursday representatives on the Showground*, to-day, arrived in Maaterton laat evening. The match will commence at 3 o'olook to-day, and a good game should eventuate. On this oocasion ladies will be admitted to the match free of charge. During tbeir stay m Mnfiterton tbe Horowhenua team will be the guests uf the Wairarapa Ihursday Union.

RANGITUMAU v. MIKI MIKI. The team to represent Miki Miki in the match against Rangitumau, at Miki Miki, on Saturday, will be chosen from the tollowing:—Nicholson, H. Hunt, Payton, Hansen, Petersen (2), Tanbersley, Cameron, Wyeth (2), Campbell (3), Nielson, Ohristeoaen, TunniclifEe, and C. Johansen. All plasers are requested to be on the ground at 2.30 p.m. sharp. GOLDEN BAY v. MAKLBOROUGH. By Telegraph—Press Association. BLENHEIM, August 26. The representative match between Golden Bay (Collingwood) and Marlborough took plaoe to-daj, Marlborough winning by 16 pointa tu 6. SOUTHLAND v. TARANAKI. HAWERA, August 29. The Southland and Taranaki match, played to-dey, was on the whole ratner uninteresting, but a fairly even go. Southland were superior in the forwards, but Tara nakVs fine back division more than equalised matters. Two minutes after the start Myuott put in a very clever piece of work, and Ward fallowing dim floored in the corner. Tbe attempt at conversion failed. Then Hamilton kicked a penalty goal for Southland, and soon after Jenkins (Southland) scored a try. Taranaki equalised matters before tbe end of the spell. Hardgreaves kicked a penalty goal. In tbe second spell Hunter dashed right through and scored. Coleman scored next, running right through tbe centra of the field from halfway. The final try was cleverly got by Dive. Tbe final score was: Taraiaaki, 15 points; Southland, 6. Burgess was the best of the Southland backs. Taranaki forwards were poor. Hunter, Mynot, Dive and (Joleman played splendidly in the back division.
