He bequeathed £I,OOC to found a Maori scholarship; £IOO each to the Anglican Cathedral,Wesleyan Church and Boqevolent Society in Wellingon; £SO each-to the Catholic Orphan Asylum, Home for the Aged, Convalesent Home in Wellington, and Barnardo's Homes.
