ERECTION OF HOARDINGS.

DUNEDIN, August 20. At a meeting of the Reserves Conservation Society, the Seoretary reported that he had ascertained that it had been decided to erect two large hoardings north and south of the new railway station, on which to exhibit advertisements. One will be BOOft long and 10ft in height above tfce ornamental fence, while the other will be 150 ft long. It was resolved that a moat emphatic protest against the adoption of auch a course bo forwarded to the Hon. Minister for Railways, and that the City Council fce approached and its aid invoked in endeavouring to prevent the inflicting o? such a barbarity on the community.
