MASTERTON TRUST LANDS TRUST.
MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening. There were presentMessrs C. E. Daniell (chairman), J. Hessey, T. B. Michell, T. Wagg, and E. Feist. The Treasurer reported a cr. balance of £534 19s lid. Acoounts amounting to £23 17a s<l were passea for payment. Grants amounting to £lßl 10s were also passed for payment. Mrs L. Devonpoi't, secretary of the W.0.T.U., and Mr A. Raes, secretary of the Y.M.C.A., wrote asking the Trustees to forego the rent of the Towu, Hall in connection with Mr Bligh's lectures in Masterton. It was decided to charge ouly for gas used on the occasions. The Masterton School Committee and the Secretary of the Gymnasium wrote thanking the Trustees for the grants. The Chairman anrl Mr Michell were appointed a committee to report on the condition of one of the Trust's cottages and call tenders for any work that required doing. It was decided to pay off, on September 30th, £BOO of the money borrowed from the Wellington Harbour Board to build the Town Hall.
