CHRISTCHURCH SUPREME COURT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. CHKISTCHUROH, August 8. At the Supreme Court, to day, William Murdoch and Peter Triston were eaoh sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment for robbery with violence. Frederick Jamea Mitchell was acquitted on a charge of stealing a watch frcm the person of Stanley Austin. Joseph Suckling, a small boy of about 14 years of age, was charged with assaulting another lad with intent to do grievous bodily harm, The two boys were together, when the accusod shot the other with a pea rifle. Suckling explained that the affair was a pure accident as he did not know the rifle was loaded. A verdict of not guilty was returned.
