DK. MAKGILL'S OPINION. Dr Makgili, Mr C. J. Reakes, Assistant Government Veterinary Surgeon, the Mayor (Mr J. A. Renall) and the Borough Engineer (Mr Douglas Dobson) paid a visit of inspection to *he Masterton Abattoir yesterday. Several y minor improvements were suggested by Mr Reakes. "What is the your opinion of the Abattoir, Doctor," a representative of the Aee asked Dr Makgili. "F/xoellent," was Dr MakgilPs brief reply. The Doctor added that the sanitary conditions prevailing at the works were admirable and the abattoir was in every respect up> to-date.
