GOLD ROBBERIES AT KALGOORLIE.

Commenting on the cabled report that the Kalgoorlie mines are being robbed of a million annually, Messrs Bewuk and Moreiug, sharebrokers, state that the figure is absurd. The nearest official estimate is £60,003 or £70,000.

Mr James states that the mine officials are largely to blame through lack of vigorous supervision.

Permission was sought to obtain consideration of the gold-stealing in oident by moving the adjournment of the Assembly. The motion, however, was negatived, the Minister for Mines stating that the matter was under his consideration. The question did not warrant suoh importance being given to it as an adjournment of the House implied.
