SIR WILFRID LAWSON. Reoeived July 2, 9.26 p.m. LONDON, July 2. The death is announced of Sir Wilfrid Lawson, aetat 77. (The deceased was born at Brayton,- Cumberland, on September 4th, 1829. He was M.P. for Carlisle, 1359-65, 1868-85; Cockermouth Division of Cumberland, 1886-1900; Camborne Division, Cornwall, from 1903). MANUAL GARCIA. Received July 2, 3.26 p.*n. LONDON July 2. The death of Manuel Garcia, the oentenarian, is announced. He was the inventor of the laryngoscope. (The deceased was born at Madrid, on Maroh 17tb, 1805. He was a profeESor of singing).
