THE NATIVE DISTURBANCE. THREE TBi'USAND jkEBELS STILL IN ARMS. NATIVES RETURNING TO THEIR KPAALS. Received July 2, 9.3, a.m. PIETERMARITZBURG, Jul.v 1. Three thousand rebels are still in arms in Natal. They are divided into two impis—one in the Tugela and the other in the Urnvofci Valley. Two thousand natives who were employed in a Dnrbau r<»rt have returned to their kraals. Shipping has been seriously disturbed. Four of Siganandi's sons have been onnvicted, and two acquitted. Sentence has been deferred. A STRONG FORCE OF REBELS. EAGER FOR A FIGHT. Reoeived July 2, 9.26 p.m. LONDON, July 2. The Daily Telegraph's Pietermaritzburg correspondent reports that Sir Henry MoCallum, Gover- I nor of Natal, favours the employment of Imperial troops to suppress +,he rebellion, but the Natal Government is still obdurate. There is a strong foroe of rebels five miles from Mapumulo eager for a fight owing to reports that the whites were defeated at Mome.
