THE LATE PREMIER'S FUNERAL.

(To the Editor). S<r, —Thursday next has definitely been fixed for the funeral of our late beloved Prime Minister, Mr Richard John Seddoa, whioh ia to take place in Wellington. There are many residonts of this town, employers aud employees alike, who would like to be present at the burial of one whose sudden death the whole Empire mourns. Might I, through the medium of your valuable columns, suggest to his Worship the Mayor that he Bhould take immediate steps to ensure the observance of Thursday next as a day of general mourning in Masterton. This would give many an opportunity of visiting Wellington to pay their last tribute of respect to the memory of him whose loss the country deplores.—l am, etc., LIBERAL.
