QUOITS.
OPAKI CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent). The monthly competition of the Opaki Quoits Club was held at tho Miki Mitfi centre, on Saturday. Owing to counter attractions, the attendance df men was not large. However, those present wore rehandicapped and played a combined match, Seniors v. Juniors, the result being as follows:—N. Campbell 1, Nicholson 2, E. Petersen 3. The ladies spent a most enjoyable afternoon, as, iu addition to the monthly match, a number of games were played for Mrs Wyeth's gold brooch. In the monthly contest for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company* trophy, Misss A. Wyeth was first and Misa V. Petersen second. Afternoon tea, whioh is always much appreciated, was served by the iadies, and a hearty vote of thanks, proposed by Mr Nioholon, captain of the men's club, was passed to the ladies. The final drawing for the trophy presented by Mr J. Campbell, juur., ia as follows:—Searle v. H. Duokett, H. ChrJstensen a bye. = I '
