THE TAWAHA ESTATE.
BALLOT TO-MORROW. The ballot for sections in the Tawaha estate, forrceiJy a portion of the Bidwill estate, Wairurapa, recently acquired by the Government, will take place at Martjiriborough to-morrow. To-'d'ay the Land Board will* meet in that township to consider the bona fides and. suitability of applications. Sections in all tbe subdivisions have been applied f0r.... s Applicants, in indicating the sections they prefer, have chosen twelve oat of the thirty-two sections. All the.'sections in subdivision 2 (dairy farms in tbe Wairarapa S.D.) have been applied for. Only one of the'sixteen dairy farms in subdivision 3 (Huaugarua S.D.') has been chosen. , Of the "ordinary farms" one of 275! acres, the only one in the Wairarapa S. D„ has been applied for, and four out of eight in Huaqgarua, are also wanted by settlers. Sections not yet applied for will be open for applications at Martin borough till next Friday, and after then at tbe District Lands Offioe, Wellington.— Wairarapa Standard.
