THE LEPROSY CASE.

OHRISTOHUFCH, March 7. The nase of leprosy, reported yes terday, was taken from the Cbristohuroh Hospital to tha quarantine station at Quail Island, in Lyttelton Harbour. Dr Upham, of Lyttelton, ia in charge, of the patient, who, it is understood, came to New Zealand from Queensland, and it is thought may have been suffering from the disease for some time before it made its presence felt in a marked degree.
