Playing against the Alexander Clud in a senior grade match, the Avenue Club made one thousand and nine runs. A. Gallesou made an incompleted innings of 610. The match waa won by an innings and 759 runs by the Avenne Club. (The above teams are not Melbourne Senior Championship teams. 'l'be world's record innings was made by the University Club, Melbourne, aqainsc Essendou, in a Melbourne senior championship match, some years ago, when they made over 1,100 rum in one innings. The Garkon Club put up a score of about 940 against Eesendon about ten years ago, J. Worrall making 428. The highest innings total made in England is 920, put up by the Orleans Club against Ricking Green on August 3rd, 1882. The highest individual score record in England is held by A. E. J. Collius, who scored 628 runs in a house match at CliftoD Collego in 1899, he being 13 years of ago at the time).

Owing to the Masterton school ground being required by Mr Jacksou next Thursday for a school match, the Carlton C Star B match will be postponed to-day, and the Star B Star O match will be played instead.
