SOCCER. LAST SATURDAY'S RESULTS

Senior Grade: Moera Stop Out 9, Upper Hutt United 2. Junior Grade: Moera Stop Out 4, Upper I-lutt United 1. Played on Maidstone Park on Satuvday under ideal conditions before a good attendance of spectators, the game between the junior members of Stop Out and Moera was fast and exhilarating from the kick off, both teams putting up a fine display of the Association game, and after some very exciting exchanges the visitors ran out winners by 4 goals to 1. Although beaten the local boys put up a splendid showing and retired worthy losers. Mr. Creagh was referee. The game between the seniors opened with Upper Hutt United showing- dazzling- form in the first 20 minutes of the game and it was a treat to watch the splendid combination shown, but overeagerness spoiled many a scoring chance. The visitors excelled in shooting and ran out winners by 9 goals to 2, but the score gives no indication of the merits of the local seniors as they played a splendid game against a fine sporting team. Ken. Bucknell and W. Allbrett scored a goal each.

ladies: hockey. Senior B: -Upper Hxrtt v. St. Joseph's, Maidstone Park (H. Hodder).
