THE LAWBEM3E CKICKET CLUB.

(To the Editor.)

Sib, What has become of our local Cricket Club ? Ib it defunct ? If " so, surely there is •ufficient enthusiasm am/ragst our young " men to reorganise a permanent club. This noble game ought not to be allowed to die out so ignominously. Strenuous efforts ought to be adopted to resuscitate it. At Clyde and B»lclutha, the valiant Knights of the Willow are endeavoring to reorganise their respective clubi, and why should this district continue to remain somnolent in this respect ? There is a number of followers of this healthful and vigorous recreation in the district who would, if steps were taken in this direction, readily come forward and give their support. — Wicket.
