QUERIES
(To the Editor.)
Sir, — I ■will trouble you to insert the following queries in your columns. 1. — As Mr. ulacandrew is elected Superintendent of Otago, in the event of his not having the delegated powers of the goldfields, can he, in his place in the House of Representatives, take part in any debate or any question directly affecting the goldSelds ; or, in other words, the same is the Superintendent upon whom are conferred the delegated powers of the joldtiulds ? 2. — Suppose the ten million loan is obtained, when the List deposit is ;>aid to the credit of New Zealand, what will have to be the number of people in the Colony to pay the interest at the same rate we are taxed at present ? Perhaps some of Mr. Macandrew's supporters will answer thj above questions. — I an, &c. MINKR.
