REFUTATION

(To the Editor.)

Slit. — I wish on the part of Mr. Morrison, to refute the calumny as published in your paper of last week ; none but a miserable scab could be guilty of such a lying, malicious, slander, towards a truly practical Christian man, and consistent teacher of the gospel, in whom charity is the leading feature. lam sure there are only one or two in this community who dare pen such miserable trash. It savours much of someone stronger in the arm than head, or else the vindictive, spasmodic, puerile effort of a pedandic pedagogue who is simply a nuisance amongst us I could bring plenty of witnesses to show how different Mr. Morrison's conduct was on the occasion referred to. — I am &c.

Justitia.
