ELECTION REQUISITIONS
(To the Editor)
Sir, — I have heard it said that everything is fair in love, war, and politics, but however true this may be in its general acceptation, I most decidedly object ,to my name being made use of, without my knowledge or consent, to a requisition pledging me to support any candidate, however satisfied others may be with his untiring efforts for some years past.
I do not know whether aft the names attached to the requisition are as genuine as my own ; but I do know several in this locality who neither signed, nor authorised any one else to attach their signature to any requisition whatever.
Without encroaching further on your valuable space, T leave the above f.icts to speak for themselves. — [ am, &c, An Eleotok.
