MOA PLAT RACES and SPORTS.

The athletic sports and hack races, held on Moa Elat, on Boxing day, proved entirely successful. The fineness of the weather attracted a very large assemblage, between 200 and 300 persons being at one time present on the course. Tho fair sex mustered very strongly, and by their presence greatly increasing the attractiveness of the scene. Our space does not permit of a detailed report this week ; we therefore give the prize list, without further comment : — Hurdle Race, one and a-half miles, over five flights of hurdles three feet high ; three entries.
