WAIPORI RACES AND SPORTS.
The Waipori Races and Sports came off most successfully on Monday and Tuesday, the 27th and 28th ultimo. The attendance during both days was exceedingly good — the fair sex made a large muster. Stevens, Ist ; T. Trudgeon, 2nd. Quoits. — J. Rhodes, Ist ; J. Rollings, 2nd. Three Legged Race. — J. Algie and Stevens, Ist. Boy's Race. — John Rodgers, Ist ; R. Capple, 2nd. Second Day. Hack Race, of 7 soys. — Teague's Jessie, 1 ; Blackmore's Win If You Can, 2. Hack Race, of 5 soys. — Hunt's Belle of the Isle, 1 ; Wright's Bobtail, 2. Standing High Leap. — Conway, Ist ; Quin, 2nd.
