TUAPEKA MOUTH SCHOOL.
(To the Editor of the Tuapeka Times.) Sib, — The suggestion of your correspondent "Pupil" about making inquiry regarding the cause of the non-appearance of the above school, is a good ons ; but if the secretary or committee ai-e too lazy or too indifferent to give the desired explanation, I would suggest that "Pupil," or some one interested, should call a public meeting here, and try to get the necessary information. I may state I was informed by one of the committee, some time ago, that Government had most liberally granted a subsidy of £75, and £25 per annum for the house rent ; and it is a pity that this should be lost to the educational purposes of the district. — I am, &c,
