THE PROPOSED TOWN HALL.

(To the Editor of the TnapeJca Times). Bm,— I am glad to see that a meeting of ratepayers is to be held in order to give us an opportunity of expressing our opinion in reference to the proposed Town Hall. I tmst that all who are of my opinion in reference to this shameful attempt to wasto the revenues of the town will rally round and show force for all that. Our councillors were not elected to carry their own pet schemes, but to act according to the wishes of their constituents. Even were a hall erected, I question strongly whether it would be half so convenient or commodious as their present place of meeting, and if they are afraid of mooting in an hotel, let them either sign the pledge or go to the Athenaeum. — Yours, &c, A RA.TE-PATBB.
