MATCH-MAKING COMBINE FOR FRANCE.

It is reported that a big combine of match-making companies, including an American group, is submitting to the Government a scheme to grant them a monopoly, the largest part of the profitfrom the sales in France going to the State and 10 per cent to social works, but only a jpart of the profits from sales in the colonies and foreign countries are to go to the State. Tt is believed that the combine contemplates making the manufacture of matches a big French industry and to export on a large scale.
