BOWLING.

A team of Tauranga bowlers visited Te Puke yesterday, being bent on the hope of wresting the much-coveted stars from the local men. The match, however, proved a decisive win for Te Puke by eleven heads. Following are the scores :-

Rennie, Bell, Palmer (sub. for Hoyte), Montgomery, 25, v. Alexander, Pratt, Le Couq, Bull 14.

After the above match the Star team were challenged by ,a local team, who, after a keen and exciting game suffered defeat by one head. Scores:-

Rennie, Bell, Hoyte, Montgomery 21, v. McLaren, Aitken, L. Gray, Palmer, 20.
