Messrs Dalgety and Co. report: We held our annual sale in the Hamilton yards on Wednesday, 23rd inst., when we had a full yarding. There was a good demand for all forward cows and heifers. Mr W. Chitty's wellknown dairy herd elicite I keen competition, and averaged c'ose on £10, prices ranging from £8 15s to £1310?. We quote: Cows close to profit, £7 to £1310s; cows, backward, £5 5s to £7 10s; 3-year heifers close to profit,' £7 2s 6d to £312s 6d ; 3-year heifers, backward, £5 5s to £0 ; 2year heifers, close to profit, £5 10j to £6 15s; 2-yeir heifers backward, M to £510 \
