CLEARING SALE.

The N. Z. Loan and Mercantile Company reports There were not many buyers at the clearing sale of Mr Houston's dairy stock on Wednesday last, and consequently not much competition, only cows close to profit changing hands. Prices were as follows: Springing cows, £6 12s Gd to £7 ss; springing heifers, £510s to £6 7s Gd ; heifers in milk, .£5 5s to £510s. A line,of heifers, close to profit, on account of Messrs H. and J. .Christopher, made from £6 to £9.
