His signature was attested by the 1 Town Clerk (Mr A. Chapman) and one of the councillors.

Of. Lucas welcomed Mr Uowe, congratulated him on his re-election a.nd said that the fate* that he had been re-elected unopposed showed: that in filling the important position of Mayor he hadl satisfied not only the citizens of the: district, bait the 1 members of the Council. Hie hoped that they would all work together folr the .benefit of the borough and the district. At thei invitation of the Mayor a pleasant hour was spent. Light refresihmlenta were pr'ovidledi and several toasts were honored. These included The King, The Mayor 1 (this toast was honored in aim eiathusaastic manner, •while several complimentary-speeches wtere m,ald!a), Eletiring Councilltors, ihe Present Councillor's, the new Councillors, the Press, the Town Clei-k and Staff, and other local bodies.
