A' special meeting of the Thames County Council was held yesterday afternoon to consider the proposed alterations to the Ibioundaries of the ridinga. At last month's meeting of the Council the proposal to divide the County, into nine ridings each with a representative was favourably radedved, and! since then the CUiairmlan h-as g|orie thoroughly into the matter with the clerk. As a result the following ridingjs with their boundaries were submitted for the consideration of tho metmbertei at yesterday's special meeting, —Hastings.—■

Talking in all of the present Uastingß ricling on the wlesitern side of the main range to :Rlooky Point; thence; in a straight line to tlie head of the Hikuai stream 1; thence l?y Hikuai stream to Tairuai Riv'ei- and along C'oromandel County bbundaiy. —Waiotahi.—
