WELLINGTON.
At the E.M. Court this morning, Frank McDonnell, of Blenheim, was charged thaff he did between the dates of November sth and December 17th, steal, take away, and convert, to bis own use certain goods, to wit, a lot of drapery and clothing, valued at £676, the property of Jas. McDowell, of Wellington. Accused was remanded till January 12th.

At Gisborne there is considerable feeling among both Natives and Europeans, at the prospect of a visit from Te Kobti. The feeling generally of both races is strongly hostile, and trouble is almost inevitable if he comes. It is believed, however, that Te Kooti will not run the risk of coming, and a number of natives have left here for Wairoa to meet him.
