The government of the portion of New GuiDea annexed by Germany ia to be entrusted to the German South Sea Co., an Imperial charter conferring that poorer having beeu granted to the company. The Beichstag has voted the necessary funds for the establishment of additional Consulates in the Pacific.
In the House of Commons last night, Mr Gladstone stated that the Government intend to maintain the neutrality of thg .New Hebrides until the Australian colonies have consented to withdraw all claims in those island*.
