, * CAMBBIA. The general dirt treated daring the past week has shaped for about the same avorsgo as during the previous week— 2ozs per load. The specimens on hand, iOOlba, were treated ftt the Kuranui Hill battery to*day, and will yield a fair average. Retorting takes place to-morrow
morning, and the return is sureto be:an excellent one, though hardly so good as that obtained last month. Another small dividend would be no surprise. NEW PKINCE IMPERIAL. . The eastern stopes on No. 2 lead above No. 5 level have been iv progress as usual, but I am ucablo to say what tha dirt is worth, as there has been no quantity crushed for tho past week, I have therefore suspended operations; here until the dirt is passed through the battery. The stopes. on tho !>'o. 3 lead in the same section are, 1 am pleased to say, t-ontinuing. to produce payable dirt.-- T~tie eastern drive on this lead at No, 4 level has been extended 60ft,, but H3 the lead has not improved in size or quality I will ■uapebd work on it also.
