(Received January 15, 12.45 p.m.) Beelin, January 14. A police official of high rank, who of late has taken a prominent part in the prosecution of members of socialistic societies, has been stabbed to death at Frankfort. Madrid, January 14. Continued shocks of earthquake are being experienced in the southern districts, though not of such severity as those which occurred there last month. Tha weather is also unusually severe. London, January 14. Sir Charles Dilke addressed a crowded meeting at Kensington last night. In the course of bis speech, he expressed the opinion that the course of recent events would entail modifications by Government of its colonial policy, and at the same time of its foreign policy. Berlin, January 13. The German Government have taken occasion to disavow any intention of attempting to establish a protectorate over the Zanzibar coast.
