NAPIER.
This day. W. J. Harker, Commission Agent, and who made himself somewhat prominent as an agitator during last elections, met his creditors yesterday. The total amount of liabilities are shown at £1676. of which £1140 have been incurred since July ; the assets are stated at about £800. The creditors called on Harker to file. A memorial against the removal of Major Scully, Inspector of Police, is being signed by nearly every adult male in the town.
