This day.
A cottage, occupied by Mrs Seaton, was burned "to the ground at three o'clock this morning, through the bursting of a kerosene lamp. The building was insured for £100 in the National, and the furniture for £80 in the Colonial. Horrible Suicide. A man named McGovern committed suicide yesterday by cutting his throat with a pair of scissors, and enlarging the wound by tearing it with his fingers. An inquest will be held to-day.
