The Rifle and Carbine Challenge Matches are proceeding. This morning Levers, of Wellington, and Wilcocks, of Olago, were called upon to fire for the National Association medal, for which they tied at last meeting by making the same number of hits. Wilcocks is not present at this meetirig,. so Levers had a walk over. This manner of deciding the tie has given rise to a deal of dissatisfaction, and several Southern members speak of protesting against the medal being handed to Levers. A. D. Bennett won the Civilian Match, ■—2CO and 500 yards, seven «hots; six prizes, of the value of £13—with Moore, of Auckland, second. There were thirteen competitors.
