Arrival of the Doric.

Auckland, Yesterday. The Doric, Captain Jennings, arrived at 6 o'clock this (Sunday) evening, after a passage which was uneventful. The officers remain the same as on the previous voyage, save the oaptain and ahief engineer. Two saloon passengers died on the voyage—Mrs Mary Howard (aged 30) of consumption, and Master J. H. Smith (aged 5) of convulsions. There are no immigrants for Auckland, the greater number of the passengers being for the South. The following is the passenger list:—First saloon, for Auckland : Mr and Mrs Mason, Misses Mason (7), Misses Mason (2), Miss Milne. Mrs M. Smith, Messrs Bennett (2), Llewellyn, Rishworth, Maclntire, Misses Major and Stewart, Mr and Mrs Lopgden. For Napier; Mr E. Fraaer. For Wellington: Col. McCartney. For Lyttelton: Hon. Capt. Fraser, Mrs Fraser, Mr C. Fraser, Mr and Misses Meidiejohn, Masters and Misses Meidiejohn (4), Misses Pages, Newbeggin, and Drake, Messrs Shepherd, E. and H. Brooke, and Basey. For Dunedin: T. W. Keinpthorne, 6? Maxwell. Second saloon, ; "third cabin, 95 passengers, and over 300 Government immigrants. The health of the passengers was satisfactory throughout the voyage. Dr. Philson, the health, officer, complimented Captain Jennings i and Dr, Livjoge, $he medical superintendent, on their evident care of the passengers, and the clean condition of the ship. I
Sighted the James Wishart, from Glas» gow for Otago, on January 14th (all well), in latitude 43 degrees 40 minutes south ; lougtitude 41 degrees 45 minutes east. Latee. —This day. The Doric brings 56 passengers for Auckland, and 143 fur Southern ports.
