Harris, b McNeil, 9 ; Gatehouse, b McNeill, 0; Sams, 1.b.w., Cooke, 0; Mansfield,, c Harris b Cooke, 4; Burns, c itattray, 11; Hale, c Harris, b McNeil, 0; Butler b MclNeil, 4; Sidebottom, c Cook b McPTeil, 1 ; Kirby, run out, 0; Kendal, not out, 1; extras, 2; total, 40. McNeil got six wickets for 25 runs, and Cooke three for 13 runs.
Otago, first innings : L. Harris, not out, 41; Dixon, b Kendall. 0 ; Spring, c Kirby, b Kendall, 7; McNeil, c Davis b Kendall, 3; ColUnaon, b Kendall, 2; Rattray, c Kirby b Kendall, 5 ; Cooke, b Kendall, 2 ; Hose' hit the wicket, b Hale, 3; Austin, b Kendall, 0; O. Sontag, b Hale, 2 ; C. Frith, b Hale, 0; total, 65. Kendall took seven wickets, at the cost of 24 runs: Hale three for 14; Mansfield and Sidebottom also bowlad.
This day. Play was resumed at 11.30, the weather being exceedingly warm, tbe ground dry, but still dead. Cook and Frith took up the bowling, the latter being dead on the wicket. .The Tasmanians made a poor stand, all being disposed of for 47 runs. Subjoined is the score :—
