This day. The directors of the New Zealand Shipping Company have issued invitations to a large number of leading citizens to ; an entertainment on board their steamer Aorangi on Monday evening. " Wesleyan Conference. The Wesleyan Conference met again this morning, when business of a preliminary character was transacted. It was reported that two probationers for the ministry in Otago had resigned, and on the motion of the Secretary their names were omitted from the minutes of the Conference. The consideration of financial obligations incurred for their collegiate trainiug, occupied the Conference, and some correspondence between the Eev. Joseph Berry and Bishop Neville, of the Episcopalian Church, was read, further consideration of which waa postponed till the meeting of the United Conference on Thursday.
