This day,
The Protestant Hall was destroyed by fire last night. There had been a dance, and an hour after its termination, afire broke out. The Oddfellows', ' Good Templars', and Orangemen's regalia, books, papers, harmonium, etc., were destroyed. The insurance on the building is £350. in the New Zealand Office, and the cause of the fire is unknown. .
