Yesterday,, The Grand Jury to-day threw out the two remaining bills against William Lingard, for fraudulent bankruptcy.—Joseph Gillon was found guilty of burning down a straw stack at Waverley, and sentence was postponed until to-morrow.—Weraho and Wairama pleaded guilty to forcible entry into premises, and ejecting the man in possession, and were liberated on their own recognisances to come up for sentence when called upon.—The trial of three natives for inflicting grievwus bodily harm was postponed till to-morrow for the attendance of Major Kemp, an important witness for the defence. It is expected the criminal business will finish to-morrow, and that the civil case proceedings will probable last till the end of next week.

This day At the Supreme Court this morning, Joseph Gillon, who was found guilty last night of arson at Waverly, was brought up for sentence. His Honor said the crime was not very prevalent in this country, and he would deal lightly with the accused. He imposed a penalty of two years' imprisonment with hard labor. —'The case against the three Maories— Fetera Eupaha, Honi Kupuha, and Tirona Eapuba—of. assault on Piercy at Ka» whairi, is now proceeding.
