Yesterday. The Supreme Court was opened thii morning by the Chief Justice, seven cases being on the calendar. A nolle prosequi was entered in the indictment of Margaret Peters for attempted suicide; Arthur Lennox Sweete, who pleaded guilty to uttering a forged cheque for £910, was sentenced to- 5 years, two previous sconvictions being against him. Hannah Kemple, for perjury, was found guilty, but sentence was deferred till to-morrow. No true bill was found in the case Segina t. Hughes, for maliciously wounding a cow.
