Sir Geo. Grey has received a letter from the Kingite chiefs expressing satisfaction at the sentiments expressed by the Governor during his recent visit.
The Waikato Harbonr Board are con* sidering a proposal to abolish compulsory pilotage, and employ licensed pilots on the competitive system.
