At the Postal Conference yesterday resolutions were adopted in favor of forming a Postal Union. The resolutions will be forwarded to the New Zealand Government for concurrence. Melbourne, This day. Great dissatisfaction is expressed here at the result of the Postal Conference at Sydney. . Albany, This day. Arrived, at King George Sound: The P. and O. steamship Ballarat with the Suez mail, dated London, April 6. Melbotjbne, Yesterday. At the Police Court to-day, Bay, who was under arrest on suspicion of having caused the fire on board the ship Leicester Castle on the 4th insfc., was discharged. Adelaide, Yesterday. Thn Adelaide Cup was run for at the South Anstralian Jockey Club Meeting to-day, and resulted as follows :—Sting, 1; Plunger, 2; Guesswork, 3. Lateb. Fifteen horses started for the Cup. Sting won in 3oains. 32secs,
