T RANAKI RACES—Second Day. New Plymouth, Yesterday. Autumn Handicap: Buzzard, 1; Mystery, .2; Normanby, 3. The Poet, Larry, Clinker, and Fishwoman also ran. The Poet was the favorite. The pace was made by Clinker for the first half mile, and by The Poet, Normanby, and Larry, when Buzzard went up. On entering the straight the race was between Mystery, Normanby, and Buzzard, the latter winning by a neck. There were £248 in the totalisator, 26 on the winner, with a divN dend of £8 11. Time, 3min lS^secs. A protest has been lodged by the rider of Normanby against the winner. County Handicap : Normanby, 1; Landseer, 2; .Okato, 3- No others started, and Normanby won by half a length. Time, 2mins 56|secs. ISubseey Handicap: Lady Florence, 1; M.A., 2; Sir Julius, 3. TamO'Shanter ran off the course, losing all chance. Lady Florence won by a length.. Consolation : Larry, 1; Bayard, 2; Fishwoman, 3. Time, lmin 50secs.
