Messrs Taylor and McElhone hare again taken their seats in the Assembly. 1 The former was called to account by the Premier for a statement he made at Mudgee, that he had seen thirty-five members of the House drank; he explained that the statement was untrue, and only an electioneering dodge. After a discussion this thin explanation was accepted. Some surprise was expressed at Mr McElhone again taking his seat after his express promise never to again enter the walls of the House if he was beaten at Mudgee, bat it is hoped he has received a lesson to be rriore moderate. Considerable progress has been made with the Estimates. The immigration vote gave rise to a good deal of discussion, and an amendment to reduce the amount one* half was negatived by a large majority. Parliament will adjourn for the Easter recess on the 22nd inst. until the. third of April.
