Wanganui, This day. The Autumn Meeting was held to day. Splendid weather, and the course is in good order, but is heavy going. There is a good attendance.
Wanganui Derby, of 100 soys.— Twelve started ; Last Chance, True Blue, and the Orphan being scratched : Owen's Fame, Bst 51bs, 1; Redwood's Paerara, Bstslbs,2; Hatley's Landseer, Bst 51bs, 3. This was a splendid race ; Fame, the favorite, coming through well at the finish; and winning by about a length, the others being well up. Time, 2mins 47 4 sth sees.
Hurdle Race, 75 soys.—Five started. Christian was scratched". Stevens' Diomedes, lOst 81bs, 1; Reith's Reform, lOst 81bs, 2 ; Pollock's New Year, lOst 81bs, 3. New Year was the favorite, but was out of the race throughout. Time, 4mins 52 2-sth sees.
